In the 1901 census the building is occupied by his sister Mary A. (25) and her husband George W. Spencer (28) who was a gun maker's assistant. In 1881 the 8 year old George lived with his parents (his father worked at the mustard mill) at 26 Russell Street, St John Sepulchre, Norwich.
